Join us for special behind the scenes tour as part of the Auckland Heritage Festival to visit areas of Highwic the public don’t usually go to, and learn more about the lives of the pioneering Buckland family who lived here from the 1860s.

This 1.5-hour tour will start with a cup of tea and then staff will guide you from room to room bringing to light the unique stories and objects in each space. Includes information about the Carpenter Gothic architecture, along with a few special highlights from the art and decorative art collections.

Highwic is a heritage property set in a green oasis in the heart of Newmarket, Auckland. The original home was built in 1862 for the Buckland family, and is located in beautiful grounds that are open for the public to explore and enjoy. Parking is available on site, or next door at Westfield Newmarket.
