Description

CAN WE... LEAD THE WORLD IN MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION?

Implanting data collecting devices into humans is the stuff of Sci-Fi movies, but collecting physiological data will be revolutionary for patients living with disease.

Join us in Hong Kong for our Alumni and Friends Reception for an eye-opening presentation, to be delivered by Professor Simon Malpas.

He will illustrate how the Auckland Bioengineering Institute, based at the University of Auckland, is at the forefront of developing medical technologies, from establishing pressure sensors in the heart, to life-saving implants in the brain. We would love you to be a part of this networking event, to be hosted by Vice-Chancellor Professor Stuart McCutcheon.

Big Brother, or lifesaving technology? You decide.

Simon is a Professor of Bioengineering and Physiology at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute.

He is a director at the Implantable Devices Group, which is leading the development of novel pressure sensing devices for clinical monitoring.
