Event description
Housing, Homelessness and their influence on Health and Wellbeing

About this Event

Tāmaki Makaurau has some of the most unaffordable housing on planet earth. The city is short an estimated 45,000 homes and the growing homelessness crisis, most obviously visible in the city centre but present everywhere, is one of the biggest issues facing Tāmaki Makaurau.

Finding an appropriate, affordable and healthy home plays a key role in the wellbeing of individuals, their whānau and their communities.

Join us to hear a range of rich perspectives, from those who have experienced rough sleeping, to those who are working to address homelessness and build sustainable solutions for our city’s future.

Tuesday 28th May, at the Whare Wānanga, Auckland Central Library, Lorne Street, Auckland. Doors open at 5:30pm and the discussion starts at 6pm.
