Death and Sexuality
A series of evening talks and Light Sanctuary weekends
with Arohananda

These winter discourses are Arohananda’s first public discourses and retreats engaging with these topics within the context of understanding our natural Humanity. These two subjects - Death and Sexuality - are fundamental to our Humanities Vitality.

The building blocks of being human can be seen through Sexuality and Death.
As each of our individual identities has been built on, and so has been shaped by, core beliefs of death and sexuality, and their accompanying values, each one has many made up ideas of what death is and of what sexuality is. Therefore, we have made up many ideas of what these subjects mean for each person.
As we grow into an individual personality, death and sexuality as merely natural phenomena, become increasingly camouflaged with various ideologies, interrupting and twisting their natural human expression. By putting Death and Sexuality into our particular categories, a feeling of unity and our wholistic intelligence, can be suffocated.

Natural diversity is already the case. However owing to a very limited understanding of the creature that we are, humans have become traumatised, and as our fundamental need for Love and its affectionate and emotional strength are not naturally met, Death and Sexuality become confusing and fearful.

Death and Sexuality, can be felt as a very odd, sterile, conservative bubble or a hyper-agitated, material, consumerism. Both are irrelevant to the natural being that we are, where the vital, passionate energy of being human should be left intact through our life stages to live optimal and healthy. That is the work of the spirit of unconditional love, a positive human collective ‘yes’, that allows spontaneous intelligent explorations of what Death and Sexuality means.

About Arohananda

In my years and service to a Lineage Crazy Wisdom Master and His revelation of Spirit through Master Yanchiji, I have been privileged to observe and understand human experiences around Sexuality and Death, and therefore my own relationship with these subjects.

Exploring the usual social paradigms towards Death and Sexuality, and my normalised and often confusing tactics, which had made me feel socially estranged in my Life, has shown me the ranges of the spectrum of being a human. At the same time, it has shown me that the undisputable feeling of Love strengthens a human's capacity to consciously live Unified and therefore in Joy.

Karma Yoga (selfless service) coupled with Bhakti Yoga ( self-forgetting Love) are the tools that have helped me to feel the principle of Tushita Ashrams’ context in my body. It is not an individual practice, rather a practice that shows that the natural Life process is larger than an individualised mind. These two paths of Yoga have allowed me to engage with the self-forgetting practice, to understand the deep well of our human suffering (my own and therefore all humans') and the original foundation of Great Love that we all are.
