Description

Join us for this workshop on August 24th: 9.00am - 11.00am

Theft, bullying, lateness, turning up drunk – these are all examples of misconduct or serious misconduct in the workplace. If they happened in your business would you know how to address them?

When employees misbehave, there is a clear process to follow to protect your business’s reputation – getting it right is crucial for safeguarding against any legal liability. Get the process for managing a disciplinary matter wrong and, as the employer, you could be faced with a personal grievance or worse still liable to pay penalties.

To learn how to avoid your business ever having to go through this, our session will cover:

  • The link between employment agreements, company policies and misconduct
  • The different types of misconduct and serious misconduct
  • The steps to manage a disciplinary process, including investigations and giving warnings
  • What you need to know about dismissing employees

This is a short and intimate session with likeminded leaders, managers and business owners, where you’ll have the opportunity to take learnings straight back to the workplace.

Facilitated by Lotte Simpson

With over 10 years’ experience within the Human Resources and Organisational Development sector, I thoroughly enjoy working alongside my clients and becoming their HR expert. It has been extremely rewarding to play an integral role in these businesses achieving their growth targets and improving overall efficiencies through their people. I understand the complexities of managing people whilst endeavouring to achieve business goals.

In my spare time I am either doing something sporty i.e. netball or dancing, or I am out socialising with friends. Skiing (either water or snow) is a favourite pastime of mine and getting out of Auckland to do this as often as possible keeps me sane!
