Following the success of last year’s hui, Te Maruata, the LGNZ National Council committee of Māori elected members, has decided to make it a regular event. "Te Timatanga - The Beginning" for all elected members of Māori descent will be held at Arai Te Uru Marae, 24 Shetland St, Dunedin on Saturday 23 July from 11.00am – 4.30pm.

Our hope is that some attendees will then be able to stay on for the LGNZ National Conference also in Dunedin, beginning the next day, from 24 - 26 July. To view programme and registration information for the LGNZ conference, click here.

The focus for this hui will be on whanaungatanga, sharing experience and knowledge, collaboration, and discussion of the purpose of Te Maruata and its future direction to ensure it works effectively for you, our members.
