Event description
Learn all about how we bring ideas to reality using technology to inform the future of the cities we live in.

About this event

Future-focused architecture stands at the centre of communities and at the forefront of technology, informing the way we work, the way we live, and how we interact with the cities we call home. Warren and Mahoney would love you to join us in our collective studios across Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch for one simultaneous event during TechWeek.

This event will be presented from three locations, with each location’s hosts speaking at various points throughout. Each studio will have live speakers who will also be simultaneously live streamed to the other two studios. The audiences in all locations will see a mixture of live presenting, and live steamed presenting.

Nic McEntyre - Christ Church Cathedral

Technically focused, Nic McEntyre from our Christchurch studio will present on our work reinstating the Anglican Cathedral, demonstrating how we work with international partners via technology, and how we are able to capture an important exiting building via point cloud scanning technology, preserving it forever in a digital state. Digital preservation captures a moment in time that can be revisited by future generations and can inform the restoration of historic architecture.
