Alexia Hilbertidou, GirlBoss NZ Founder and Social Entrepreneur, leads a panel of four inspiring technology specialists, each of which started with a dream to use innovation for good and make a change in the world. Alexia will discuss each of their unique journeys, uncover what it takes to develop a dream into a life changing innovation as well as provide insights to help others on the same journey.

Moderator

Alexia Hilbertidou, at just 19 years old, Alexia has spoken to more than 30,000 young people, teachers and business professionals and at 18 she was selected by the US Embassy for the NASA SOFIA 2017 Southern Deployment. Alexia has a strong passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) and changing the way we view the STEM culture.

Dr Andrew McDaid, Founder of robotic rehabilitation OPUM technologies, Senior Lecturer, Mechanical Engineering, Auckland University. 2012 AMP National Scholarship winner. Dr Daniel Xu, Developer of award winning UVLens, Co-founder and CEO Spark 64 Ltd. 2015 AMP National Scholarship winner. Stuart Julian, Developer of emergency breathing apparatus to save those trapped in snow, Mechanical Engineer. 2017 AMP National Scholarship winner. Isabel Cowlishaw, Bachelor of Engineering student working to develop prosthetics to help with cancer rehabilitation. 2017 AMP National Scholarship winner.
