Event description
Interested in hearing about the future of architecture? A future that is plant-based, petroleum free, socially fair, and ecologically sound?

About this Event

Victoria University of Wellington’s Faculty of Architecture and Design invites you to join visiting architect Klaus K Loenhart for his free lecture IMAGINE! THE CITY AS LIVING BIOME

Klaus is an impact eco-visionary, founder of terrain: integral designs, terrain.cloud, and Professor at IA&L Landlab TU Graz, Austria. His idea of a multidisciplinary practice was sparked both while working at Herzog & de Meuron and studying at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Join him as he shares his vision for a possible future for our urban societies and introduces Plant-Powered Systems Design. This is a systems design approach that introduces breathing into buildings, and inspiration for a new kind of co-habitation on Earth.

The University’s Visiting Architect Programme takes place annually to share ideas and knowledge across different cultures and practices.
