Description

Impact Challenge 2018 @ Massey

Get ready for the University-wide innovation hackathon to solve Really Big Problems and hack a better world with this hands-on workshop.

Build a facial recognition app using Raspberry Pi -- then imagine how it could be used to solve some of the most significant problems facing us today, as outlined in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

This workshop is open to the Massey University community, and organised by the ecentre -- the enterprise and innovation centre at Massey University, along with industry partner PROJECTR®.

  • Make an impact by hacking solutions to global challenges
  • Experiment with new technology
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams
  • Meet amazing people and win prizes

Who can come?

YOU!

Students from any of our colleges, both undergraduate and graduate, including business, science, creative arts, humanities and social sciences, and health. No previous tech experience is required -- but bring an open mind.

Why come to the workshop?

Get ready for the upcoming hackathon -- and get a jump on the competition. You’ll get to learn, experiment with new tech and have a heap of fun in the process. Plus -- it looks good on your CV!

AND -- if you register and attend the workshop, you can go into the draw to win the Raspberry Pi's that we'll be giving away at the workshop.
