Students solve problems for prominent New Zealand businesses

About this Event

Come along and view the projects and information systems that students have been working on throughout 2019.

The projects included in this exhibition have been prepared to the specifications of business organisations operating in New Zealand. The presentations are the efforts of the students participating in the INFOSYS345 course during 2019.

Event details

Date: Thursday 26 September 2019

Time: 12-5pm

Venue: The University of Auckland Business School Level 0 Foyer, Sir Owen G Glenn Building, 12 Grafton Road, Auckland

The overall goal of this course is to solve a business problem related to operations management and/or to an information system, which at the end of the development process meets the needs of the organisation that sponsored the project.

Also, we would like our students to:

• Learn to work in a team with a minimum of outside supervision.

• Interact with end-users and successfully identify and satisfy their requirements.

• Integrate coursework from several disciplines.

Each project team consists of two or three students, supervised by a University staff member and working under the guidance of a sponsor contact person.

This year’s projects were sponsored by the following companies: Fonterra, Douglas Pharmaceutical, HansenCX, and United Steel.
