As a contract administrator the role crosses several professional boundaries, this course will prepare you for the expectation and identify the key challenges which need to be addressed and provide some insights into why they exist.

This full day Introduction to Contract Administration course looks at the obligations that exist under various types of contracts. It covers dispute resolution and the mpact of protracted disputes on the project.

It will also look at the contractual obligations under the respective construction contracts, identifying challenges and resolving where possible “within the four corners of the contract” and the wider economic and legal impacts of protracted disputes.

A great refresher course, or as an introduction to contract administration, the course is suited to all construction professionals, especially:

  • Contractors and sub-contractors
  • Principals
  • Project engineers and managers
  • Quantity surveyors
  • Superintendents

Delivered by Roger Hogg FRICS with over 25 years’ experience in building contracting, private practice quantity surveying, University lecturing and construction research and development. Roger also holds a Masters degree in Environmental Law, and co-designed and taught on a Masters degree in Construction Law and Arbitration. In addition to his teaching at Masters level, Roger’s University teaching included Undergraduate construction law at final year level, as well as guest lecturing at the Technical University of Denmark, Copenhagen.
