This 3-day workshop has been designed exclusively for the Public Sector on Investigation skills.

If you are in the business of regulatory compliance - you know like we know sometimes talking - educating and persuading stops. There are times when you need to pull on the statutory powers of council to get stuff done. At best it's a strong instruction that is enforceable at worst we end up in court. Let rick teach you what you have to do right from the start to make sure it doesn't fall over in the court room

It addresses all the conventional issues that confront the investigator and takes participants on a chronological journey from the receiving of the complaint through to the presentation of evidence in a court of law. Recognising that most matters are finalised without the need for prosecution, alternative compliance choices are also examined.

Your experienced trainer/facilitator will be:

Rick Davis

Rick is an energetic, enthusiastic, and entertaining trainer with a strong passion for what he does.
With over 30 years in leadership, management and training positions from ASB bank branch manager to a senior police role as Sergeant in Training and Development, and onwards to starting his own Corporate Training Company, PLS Performance Group, Rick continues to develop others skills and abilities. His company was nationally registered in 1998 to offer Certificate, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma qualifications in Business and Government. Rick sold his company in 2014 but still conducts numerous workshops in a range of areas, facilitates meetings and strategic planning sessions for clients, and is often asked to guest speak at corporate seminars.
Rick has written and commented to Government on Laws and Policy in Australia and New Zealand. Rick has had a strong working relationship with the Local Government Association of Queensland, facilitating numerous programs on their behalf for their client councils.
Rick is an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of management, a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Criminology, a member of the Queensland Retired Police Officers Association, and holds a Degree in Justice Administration and a Masters in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
His style is results oriented whilst at the same time down to earth and entertaining, and he can demonstrate a depth of experience few can surpass.
