What is #JAFAC?
It’s a conference and an unconference.
It’s a day of speakers followed by some food, drinks, music and conversation.
Then a day of Open-space, where you set the agenda and the conversation takes a deep dive into the key topics and issues that you want to talk about. It’s about exploring Agile. Pushing the boundaries of where Agile can be. In different industries, and across organisations. Looking inside and outside the realm of technology and seeing where there are possibilities.
This isn't a huge thing, it’s a pretty exclusive thing with limited numbers - about 100. But we hope the impact of those 100 will be huge. So sign up now to secure your spot!
We will be actively managing the waitlist, possibly to get a bigger venue if demand is high, and also to get a sense of the level of interest in this kind of event. So if you have missed the initial signup - join the wait list!
Who is it for?
For creatives, for innovators, for Agile practitioners. For people who want to make a difference, for disruptors and do-ers. For people who are into Redesigning Organisations, Management 3.0, solving meaty problems, and thinking about the future. For leaders and thinkers and curious minds. It’s NOT for boring people or people who want to sell something.
What's in it for me?
You get to spend a couple of days indulging in Agile geekery, in learning new things and challenging all the things. You get to hang with like-minded people - and hang with different-minded people. You’ll get new ideas and inspiration and hear different perspectives. You’ll make new friends and rediscover old ones. If you sign up before the 10 April you will also get a JAFAC t-shirt at the conference!
There will be a bunch of awesome people! We will tap into our vast and amazing local talent. Recognising that we have some of the best right here in NZ, we will take advantage of our smallness and use the at home connections that make us all shine on the world stage.
The range of speakers will help to extend the boundaries of our thinking, and to cross pollinate with different industries and disciplines.
We had overwhelmingly positive feedback about the diversity of speakers for JAFAC 2016. We'll bring more of the same wonder to the next one!
