Help us make a difference for pets and families experiencing family violence by spending a day exploring the stunning Gibbs Farm Sculpture Park across the rolling hills on the stunning Kaipara Harbour.

This incredible 400-hectare open-air park is home to a remarkable collection of site-specific artworks created by some of the world’s most renowned artists, as well as exotic animals such as giraffes and water buffalo!

During this self-guided tour, you can roam the picturesque farmland, enjoy breathtaking views of the harbour, indulge in a family picnic and immerse yourself in the artistry that makes Gibbs Farm a truly magical place.

What to Bring:

• Comfortable walking shoes: The paved and rolling farmland paths take approximately 2-3 hours to complete. You can walk as much or as little as you’d like.

• Food and water: Pack a picnic lunch, there will also be a coffee cart on site.

• Camera: Photography is allowed (but no drones).

• Weather-appropriate clothing: Sunscreen, hats, and a raincoat – the event will go ahead rain or shine!

Accessibility:

• A reasonable level of fitness is required for the tour.

• There are several toilet facilities onsite, including accessible options.

Tickets:

• Cost: $99 + booking fee

• Tickets are limited and must be booked in advance. No sales at the gate.

• All tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.

• There is no entry fee to visit Gibbs Farm. All proceeds from ticket sales will support Pet Refuge’s mission to provide temporary shelter and care for pets while their families escape family violence. Find out more at www.petrefuge.org.nz

• Parking and Entry: Your designated entrance for Gibbs Farm is 64 Barr Road, Makarau, 0984. Please check your ticket for entry details to help manage parking and traffic flow.

• Gibbs Farm is a private property open by appointment only. It is important that you read the terms of access before attending here.

• Pet Refuge will be situated at the Barr Road entrance. Please show your booking confirmation on arrival.

• There are large lakes and ponds that will require supervision with children (if applicable) as will various animals at several locations across the Gibbs Farm property.
