Description

Explore Lake Waikare by night – see tuna/eels, kewai/kōura/freshwater crayfish and bullies. Registrations essential.

This event is funded by Foundation North. It is part of Seaweek.


When:

Saturday 21st of March 2020
Day snorkel from 10am-3pm

Twilight snorkel from 8:00-8:45pm
Night snorkel from 8:45-9:30pm

Cost:

Experiencing Marine Reserves runs a series of free and subsidised events over the summer months that rely on public support to make them happen. We appreciate donations to participate, either cash or eftpos on the day, online or by giving a koha of your time volunteering at a future event. Most people donate $5-10pp.

Bring your own gear or get free hire of our mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuits. Recommended for everyone 12 years and up. Experienced guides and advanced safety procedures will be in place on the day.

As this event requires registration - if you give less than 48 hours notice or do not show up an invoice of $20pp may be issued.
