Explore the house and garden from which Kate Sheppard led the New Zealand women’s suffrage movement followed by a silver service high tea.
About this event
Be inspired by Kate Sheppard and the women fighting for suffrage in colonial New Zealand at this historic villa and visitor experience, then sit back and relax in the elegant surroundings while you enjoy high tea in the place where history was made.
High tea will be served following the self-guided tour. The set menu includes freshly brewed tea and coffee, a selection of sandwiches and home baking. Vegetarian option available, however we cannot cater for gluten free, dairy free or vegan at this time.
Allow 1.5 hours for the full tour and tea experience.

Parking
Limited parking is available on the street, or try the University of Canterbury's pay and display carpark on Arts Road (5 minute walk). Please allow extra time for parking during university term time. Please contact us prior to booking if you require accessible parking.
