About this event
Kia Rite Hoea is a one-stop-shop resource and training package designed to help communities run cutting edge, safe and successful community programmes and events. Join our Train-the-Trainer programme so that you help your communities take their great ideas and bring them to life.
This course is for you if:
- You would like to build the capability of your organisation and local community in running programmes and events
- You have at least three years experience running recreation events and programmes in a range of communities/settings
- You have experience in learning and development workshops for adults (eg coaching a group, mentoring, running workshops or learning opportunities)
- You are committed to sharing Kia Rite Hoea in your community or workplace
By the end of this experience, you will:
- Understand the Kia Rite Hoea framework and tools and be able to apply them to your own events and programmes.
- Understand learning styles and how to improve learning and engagement in your own Kia Rite Hoea workshops.
- Be able to design boutique Kia Rite Hoea workshops, mentoring and engagements for your own communities including preparation, promotions, delivery, evaluation and follow up.
- Have a range of workshop evaluation tools to apply to Kia Rite Hoea workshops
- Be given access to all Kia Rite Hoea workshop tools including facilitation plans, powerpoints and workshops resources.
- Become a part of the Kia Rite Hoea national learning community and given opportunities to continue to grow as a trainer.
Kia Rite Hoea Train-the-Trainer course includes:
Module 1 - 8 September - Kia Rite Hoea workshop online 9.30-12.30 (for those who have not attended a workshop yet)
Module 2 - 20 September - Whanaungatanga, setting your learning objectives for the course, learning styles/TetraMap©
Module 3 - 27 September - Learning styles continued (Honey & Mumford)
Module 4 - 5 October - Identifying and understanding your future Kia Rite Hoea audience, and setting learning objectives using ADDIE and BLOOMS Taxonomy.
Module 5 - 12 October - Preparing and delivering a segment of Kia Rite Hoea to workshop participants, and reflection tools.
Module 6 - 19 October - Designing your future workshops including facilitation plans, promotions, resources and evaluation , access to all Kia Rite Hoea resources and training opportunities.
As required - One-on-one clinics
