Event description

Description

This eye-opening workshop and discussion will guide and inspire you to actively recognise, understand, and respond to the diverse interpersonal needs of your people to create the conditions for trust, co-operation, and committment.

Ross Wilson, from Growing Organisations, will show us that diversity does not only come in the form of race, religion, age, and gender but that each individual has their own specific patterns of behaviour and interpersonal needs and preferences.

You will be introduced to practical tools to help you:

- recognise different communication challenges

- rapidly identify the diverse communication styles of an individual (without judging)

- understand people's specific needs and concerns and preferred ways of relating (as well as your own)

- lower the discomfort of others in your interactions

- make small but highly effective changes to the way you interact with others

- be more tolerant of the way others communicate with you

- build trust

- gain committment, not just compliance

- create more cohesive teams and increase their performance and productivity

High performing leaders know that the old one-size-fits-all management style is not an effective way to lead and is no longer acceptable. They are actively equipping themselves and their teams with critical skills to create engagement, commitment, and truly fulfilling and productive employee and client relationships.

Interpersonal versatility is the 'glue' that holds all other leadership skills together and multiplies their effectiveness. It involves just a few skills, and the good news is that these skills can be learnt quickly and mastered with practice.
