“Watching over our Streams and Rivers” – Errol Wood tells us about Waterwatch NZ Education Trust and how they help school students, communities and farmers monitor the health of their local waterway.  All Welcome, just come along.

Followed by the Lincoln Envirotown meeting, which will be our last for 2018, you are welcome to come along to our AGM in November. Come along and get involved in making Selwyn a more sustainable community to live in.  Meetings are the first Monday of every month, excluding public holidays.

Our Objectives:

  • To promote the long term environmental sustainability of the Selwyn District with the understanding that this is also the basis for social, cultural and economic sustainability in the future. 
  • To educate about and raise awareness of environmental sustainability issues and to provide information about how to achieve environmental sustainability. 
  • To provide appropriate opportunities for personal and community decision making to ensure that the environmental, social, cultural and economic sustainability of the Selwyn District is promoted. 
  • To act as a role model for other communities wanting to progress towards environmental sustainability.
