Event description
The rebirth event was a great success, so why not join us for the next Linkedin Local and met those people offline

About this Event

#LinkedInLocal is an idea that has been popping up across the globe. Its purpose is to get to know the people behind the profiles and connect face-to-face.

As an extension to this, today is to show you that you are not alone when in business or looking to go into business. By getting to know the people behind the profiles you strengthen these online community relationships through meaningful interactions.

Today we have three expert guest speakers who have all started businesses from scratch, have endured growth challenges and others not mentioned.

The speakers are graciously donating their time to help educate us on the good, bad and the ugly.

Let me introduce the speakers one by one:

• Luke Kemeys from nextAdvisory. During the day, Luke Kemeys has his own Chartered Accountant practice that helps business owners achieve their goals. Luke and his business partner also set-up and run an online platform for parents to claim back their school donations which has refunded hundreds of thousands of dollars to Kiwi parents who otherwise wouldn’t have made a claim. • Kirsten Taylor from SleepDrops International Limited. Kirsten started the business in 2009 and is now currently taking the business global exporting to Asia and USA. Started the business in the global financial crisis with no capital and has grown from strength to Strength through blood, sweat and tears to get the business where it is today. • Richard Conway from Pure SEO Limited. Richard started the business in 2009 shortly after immigrating here from the UK. Pure SEO is New Zealand’s largest and most awarded search agency and has offices throughout New Zealand and Australia. Pure SEO has been listed in the Deloitte Asia Pacific Tech Fast 500 for the last 6 years; a New Zealand record. Recently Richard has been nominated as a finalist in the 2019 “EY Entrepreneur of the year”.(www.pureseo.co.nz).Richard is a published author and columnist for M2, M2W and New Zealand Business Magazine and lives and works on the North Shore of Auckland. He is married to Emily and has 2 Kiwi kids, Ethan (8) and Amber (5).

They will share their knowledge on

1. When do you put your foot on the accelerator to make your business grow.

2. How change your business from being a job to a business?

3. What challenges do you face when growing?

This will be done informally as a fire side chat and will be 'short, sharp and shit hot'. This allows for quality information sharing and maximises quality networking time, which is the real point of #LinkedInLocalNorthshore.

The charity for the night that the event is supporting is “I have a Dream Charitable Trust”. Show your support via https://givealittle.co.nz/fundraiser/professional-business-tips

While this is a free event, if for whatever reason you can't make it on the night, please feel free to pass your ticket on to someone or contact the hosts so they can re-release the ticket.

The event is catered and sponsored by local business. So, enjoy beer, wine, wisdom and nibbles and leave with new insights and a new 'real' connection. Please note that as we take Host Responsibility seriously, we do reserve that right to introduce a limited number of drinks per person policy.
