Description

E te iti me te rahi, rau rangatira ō ngā kaunihera o te motu, nau mai, piki mai, kake mai ki tēnei hui o tātou.

Te Maruata is holding its 4th annual pre-conference Hui for Māori in local government on Saturday 6 July, at Waiwhetu Marae, Lower Hutt.

The Hui, which is held on the Saturday before the annual LGNZ conference, is an opportunity for Māori elected and appointed members, and members of Te Pae Urungi (the Māori staff network), to share whānaungatanga, hear kōrero from invited guests, discuss matters of common interest and plan for the future.

Te Maruata's Roopu Whakahaere will also provide an update on its work programme and priorities and seek feedback from the Hui.

This is also an opportunity for Māori elected and appointed members to maximise their participation, increase their awareness of issues of regional and national significance and build their networks by staying on for the LGNZ conference which starts the next day. (Please note - separate registration is necessary for the conference, fees are payable so liaison with your respective Council is essential.)

No reira, nau mai, haere mai.
