Description

One-Day International Symposium

Registration open from 9am to 10am (tea & coffee on arrival)
Registration includes lunch and afternoon tea

India is increasingly becoming a major power in the Asia-Pacific region, in terms of its economic weight as well as strategic importance. New Zealand wants to have greater engagement with India, and so do many other countries in the region. But there are also challenges on the way. The New Zealand India Research Institute has invited some eminent scholars from across the world to speak on India’s economy, trade and diplomacy; foreign policy and defence issues; and her domestic politics and governance. They will be interacting with New Zealand scholars as well as government and business leaders in this interdisciplinary symposium.
