Event description
Love and Labour is a night celebrating entrepreneurial NZ women who have combined passion and hard graft to succeed.

About this Event

After the success of our two previous Love & Labour events, the team at eight73 consulting, are bringing it all back again for a 3rd year!

The Love & Labour Event is a chance to connect with girlfriends and take some time to focus on you, which seems to get a little lost when you’re a wife, a mum, a business owner, an employee and a volunteer! This is a chance to fill up your own cup, and be inspired, motivated and entertained by incredible NZ women.

This year we have two featured speakers who will both blow your mind, plus a Q&A with a panel of local businesswomen, all topped off with dancing & live music from local duo Dawn Roberts & Jonty, and a shared grazing platter.

So grab your girlfriends and prepare for a fab night!

Featured Speakers:

Shelly Davies, Writing, Joy & Badassery

In Shelly's own words.... "I’m 45 and I’m a late bloomer. But hot damn, have I bloomed! And I’ve lived. Degrees, dead husbands, divorces, diets, depression – all the Ds. And a bunch of other letters, including some F words that I won’t write here because I have lovely parents. I’m the popping candy of the corporate training world: Sweet, exhilarating and effervescent. In a bite me kind of way."

Shelly is a sought-after writer who has the same philosophy for writing as she has for life. When we choose to operate with authenticity, integrity, and courage, both our writing and our lives achieve the outcomes we’re craving. Because it’s never been worth your time to pursue bland, boring, or already been done.

Tesh Randall, Founder Raglan Coconut Yoghurt

Tesh Randall (or Mrs Coconut as she's known in Raglan) is an enthusiastic entrepreneur and the founder of Raglan Coconut Yoghurt. She started out in her home kitchen in 2014, and now supplies yoghurt to over 600 stores around New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Pacific Islands. She believes that business can be used as a tool for creating positive change and is a woman of many hats (literally & figuratively!), with side projects including writing books, hosting glamping enthusiasts in their yurt and tiny house, and her position as editor of Arrival travel magazine. Tesh is an Edmund Hillary Fellow, SheEO activator, and member of the Asia New Zealand Foundation. She lives in Raglan with her partner Seb (Mr Coconut) where they love surfing and being part of the tight-knit community.

Please note this is an R18 event.

This event will have to be cancelled if Otorohanga escalate to Alert Level 2 or more due to the anticipated COVID-19 restrictions associated with increased alert levels. If this happens, all tickets will receive a FULL refund.
