Event description

Description

Now summer is officially here, it’s time to brush off the tramping boots (or jandals) and head for the hills. But due to extreme kauri dieback risk, a little extra thought and planning is needed before we go bush.

This is a great way to find out what, where, when and how… to ensure these majestic giants grace our forests for future generations.

A panel of experts will discuss key points, followed by Q&A.

SPEAKERS:
Dr Nick Waipara
,
Senior Scientist, Plant & Food Research,
Kauri Rescue Project
;
Fredrik Hjelm, The Living Tree Company;
Auckland Council;
Te Kawerau a Maki;
Pamela Gill / Dr Dan Ducker, EcoMatters Restoration Team.

Facilitated by Damon Birchfield, CEO EcoMatters.
