About this event

After 3 years playing as a band Lunar Intruder finally debuted their headline “Moonlight Tour” venturing to Christchurch Wellington and Auckland! Renowned for their energetic and adventurously crafted live performances making a name for themselves within the local music scene in Christchurch, this will be no different with the shows to come so grab your tickets, you won’t regret it!

A bit about the EP: Roughly 8 months in the making, beginning almost as soon as the sophomore EP “Outerworlds” was released, the band decided to focus on 5 tracks, bringing as much value and life to each song from when they began writing up until this point. The band have a preference that and any sort of EP or Album that is written has to be enjoyed as a full experience from start to finish, and off the back of a more psychedelic sound from the previous EP, the biggest challenge was creating a consistent raw energy that would flow from start to finish incorporating the influences of each band members current music tastes, as well as what each member was going through on a day to day basis, collaborating together to create a shared product.

The main concept of “Moonlight” was to explore our own lives and backgrounds about growing up, losing loved ones, getting kicked out of your flat and the absolute bullshit-ness of being a young 20 somethings kid growing up in New Zealand which we really think has encapsulated this EP quite well. The flat in question that we were kicked out of also is the backdrop for the EP album cover which we thought was the most fitting thing to honor one of our favorite places that brought life to Lunar.
