Event description
Bring your imagination along to Space to design and print your own reusable gift wrapping cloth, in this workshop for kids age 7 - 9.

About this Event

Get inspired by the Japanese art of furoshiki. the ancient Japanese art of wrapping fabric and tying it different ways to present and carry a gift: no paper, no sticky tape, no ribbon and no waste. Learn ways of making re-usable stamps for printing paper and cloth.

In this workshop, lead by art educator Alice Fennessy, we will create 1 – 2 gift wrapping cloths, plus some re-usable stamps from recycled materials. Kids will also leave with a little guide for making and wrapping their furoshiki at home.

Places limited to 10 kids per workshop. Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting a little messy.
