Do you want to build your knowledge capability in Responsiveness to Māori in your research? This seminar will provide a general overview of the Treaty of Waitangi as it relates to research. The content focuses on why it was written, what it says, what went wrong and where we are today.

The seminar is a good fit for you if:

2. Are encountering the relationship between the Treaty and doing research for the first time, whether you are new to New Zealand or not.

3. You would like a refresher on Treaty foundations and how it relates to research.

Join us for this informative session presented by Christine Herzog who has facilitated more than a thousand Treaty and related workshops, for central and local government departments and other large institutions, for community groups, and the general public. She has also undertaken consultancy and research relating to the application of the Treaty in organisations. She was a founding member of Auckland Project Waitangi and continues to be active in Tamaki Treaty Workers. Christine supported Ngāti Tamaoho Trust, a Waiohua hapu, through eight years of their Treaty claims negotiations and is now kaiwhakahaere of Te Tai-awa o te Ora Trust, a kaupapa Māori social services organisation based in south Auckland.
