Wanting to learn more about Maramataka and how to incorporate this mātauranga into your team and your mahi? This introduction workshop gives your team an overview of the key phases of the Maori Lunar Calendar to understand how our tūpuna incorporated this mātauranga (knowledge) in living, defining and acknowledging our whakapapa to te tai whenua (land),te tai moana (seas), te tai rangi (skies) me te tai tangata (people) and how to incorporate this into your workplace.

KO WAI MĀTAU?

The workshops are facilitated by directors, Mihi Tibble (Ngāti Porou, Te Whānau ā Apanui, Te Arawa, Ngāti Awa) and Geneva Harrison (Ngāti Kahu, Te Rarawa, Te Aupouri). Both raised by their grandparents in rural Aotearoa and now living in Tāmaki Makaurau, they are passionate about sharing this mātauranga and making it accessible and applicable in knowing the difference in it has made in their personal and professional lives.

Mihi and Geneva have over 50 combined year’s experience in various Corporate, Crown and NGOs across governance, Iwi Community development, contract procurements, executive management, communication, stakeholder relationships and strategy across the industries of health, education, social services, housing and urban development.
