Join us for the second screening of our Mardi Cinéma cycle dedicated to the legendary Alain Resnais, a master of innovation in French cinema. After Mon oncle d’Amérique, we now turn to one of his most playful and surprising works: On connaît la chanson (1997).
🎥 On connaît la chansonBlending romantic comedy and musical pastiche, this César-winning film tells the story of six intertwined characters navigating love, jealousy, and career changes in Paris. What makes it unique? The characters don’t sing — instead, they lip-sync to iconic French pop songs by Charles Aznavour, Edith Piaf, Johnny Hallyday and more. Funny, moving, and deeply original, this film is a witty tribute to everyday emotion and the songs that shape our lives.
