Featuring WHINEY + KEENO + ROYALSTON + DEGS + ?????

_Whiney

Coventry-born Will Hine has developed an impressive skill set, successfully carving out his signature sound and passion for drum and bass. With over twelve years spent in choirs, orchestras and grade eight achievements in both violin and piano, it was inevitable that music was going to play a prominent role in Will’s future. After discovering a love for Pendulum and becoming inspired to delve into the world of music production, Whiney had his debut release on Subsphere Recordings back in 2012, an exquisite collaboration with Keeno called the “Sweetest Sin” EP.

In 2017, Whiney truly set the drum & bass scene alight with his incredible debut album ’Talisman’. A 12 track beauty with a seamless mix of dancefloor weapons, deep rollers, melancholic moments and collaborations with Urbandawn, Keeno and MC Inja. An album of this calibre was only ever going to garner widespread support from the drum & bass community, and subsequently Whiney was nominated for three separate accolades at the 2017 Drum & Bass Arena Awards, up for Best Newcomer, Best Album and Best Track for the anthem that was ‘Flashlight’ feat. MC Inja. The entire album, Flashlight in-particular picked up some incredible club support from the DJs DJ: Randall. With the release of ‘Talisman’, Whiney has fully established himself as one of the most forward-thinking artists the Drum & Bass scene has to offer. Not content with resting on his own laurels, Whiney is definitely one to watch out for as he continually pushes the boundaries of what both his sound and the genre is capable of.

_Keeno

Having been named in Knowledge Magazine’s top 20 producers to watch out for in 2013, Keeno has come a long way.

December in the very same year saw the release of his 6 track EP ‘Nocturne’ featuring vocals from Louisa Bass and co-producer and long time friend Whiney. With BBC Radio 1 airtime from the likes of Friction, B Traits and Mistajam the EP grabbed the attention of the scene and shortly after in May 2014, Keeno released his debut album ‘Life Cycle’. A stunning release containing 14 tracks demonstrated his ability to add orchestral and cinematic elements to Drum+Bass while retaining a strong dance floor impact.

_Royalston

Sydney-based, classically trained, DJ and producer Dylan Martin (middle name Royalston) has been listening to drum & bass since ’93, producing for 12 years and DJ-ing for over a decade. A man of many talents, Royalston is also an illustrator and designer and first got into music production when he was making a soundtrack to a 3D animation. His music is characterized by a raw, analogue sound with a techy edge – thanks to plenty of hardware like his favourite Korg MS-20 – and he has released on labels such as Bad Taste and Black Acre before signing exclusively to Med School in 2012.

Most people don’t know that Royalston illustrates the artwork on his own releases, and his upcoming release, the ‘Popular Mechanics’ LP that drops on October 6th he has outdone himself. Watch this space for an album certain to not hold back on the weird and wonderful sounds of drum and bass.

_Degs

Music has always been in Degs’ blood, an accomplished pianist, guitarist and singer with militant flow and a golden voice, spanning eclectic tastes moulded by a musical family.

His debut single Poveglia (feat De:Tune) was an overwhelming success which garnered support in clubs across the globe and became one of the D+B anthems of summer 2018. With over 500,000 streams on his debut single, he moved from strength to strength, following ‘Poveglia’ up with a sterling ‘Mixtape Sprayout’, featuring unique verses sitting atop iconic Hospital classics, including the ‘Black Sheep’ freestyle which brought him to the attention of London Elektricity.

Now one of the most sought-after MCs on the circuit, the future is exceedingly bright for Hospital’s most recent vocalist.
