Event description
Get a taste for premed at Auckland and tick all the boxes for preparing ahead!

About this Event

Are you entering premed in 2021, aiming to enter medical school at the University of Auckland?

Join us and other future doctors in our small group workshops that are designed to help you enter medical school in the safest way possible.

Is this for you?

If you're a budding medical student and want to optimise your chances for entering medical school successfully, the way you spend your summer holidays can be a complete game-changer. Many students who are unsuccessful in premed have missed crucial milestones before Semester 1 even begins, causing them to start the year on a back foot.

To make matters worse, for-profit companies have a reputation for spreading false information or misleading advice, exploiting eager students and unknowing parents.

If you are a student who values preparation and wants to tackle your year strategically, this event is for you. If you want to clear up confusion over conflicting advice or information you have heard, this event is definitely for you!

The Agenda

We examine insights from successful medical school candidates and break them down into actionable strategies that you can apply to maximise your own chances.

  • Realistic figures and predictions for medical entry in 2021 and why the acceptance requirements for GPA, UCAT and MMI may be different from what you have heard.
  • Myths about GPA, UCAT and MMI that for-profit companies often tell you (that are completely untrue)
  • What you can expect in your year, including the common pitfalls that reduce 2000 students into under 200 successful candidates by the end of the year
  • Study strategies and schedules to stay on top of the high workload of first year that have been consistently used by successful past students
  • Q&A with New Zealand's most experienced medical admissions expert, Dr Justin Sung.
  • FREE TUTORIAL for the first lecture of BIOSCI 107, CHEM 110, and POPLHTLH 111 from A+ tutors, trained beyond the industry standard.

Parents are more than welcome to attend.

If you would like to book a free information and strategy consultation with our student advisor, you can do so while spaces are available at

What Sets JTT Apart?

JTT is well-known among medical students for how we take care of our students. Simply talk to some students at Auckland medical school and you will find that our reputation precedes us. When we work with students, we take full accountability for the service and advice we give. In fact, we care so much about supporting students that we made it a legal requirement for us to prioritise student care over profit, registering JTT as an NZ charity and social enterprise.

If you want to see our reputation among past students, check out our Google reviews or any of the testimonials on our website here:

JTT is also the only medical admissions organisation in New Zealand that is invited to and works directly with district health boards and secondary schools.

Our Guarantee

If you think you can get better advice, service or support into entering medical school anywhere else, we will work for you for free. That's how confident we are about what we do.

About JTT

JTT is New Zealand's most trusted, highest-rated and most experienced medical entry experts. We are a non-profit organisation committed to delivering the highest possible quality of service and support and making it accessible for students of all backgrounds.

The JTT Movement

We believe that if our work is great, the results speak for themselves. If you've seen any of our reviews or testimonials, you might recognise some familiar names.

We take immense pride in the level of quality and support we provide for all of our students. We want JTT students to feel like they are truly part of a community, or as I students say "the JTT fam". After working with almost 3000 students in New Zealand, we are happy to say that premed no longer needs to be an over-competitive and toxic race for survival!
