About this event
Adrian Orr is the Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, a position he has held since March 2018.
Adrian is a graduate of Waikato University and the University of Leicester (UK). He has held a variety of positions both here and overseas. The NZ Institute of Economic Research, the National Bank of New Zealand (twice), a stint in France with the OECD then time with Treasury as Chief Analyst, then to the Reserve Bank, Westpac as Chief Economist, Deputy Governor at the Reserve Bank and CEO of the Guardians of the NZ Super Fund. Under Adrian the Fund won various international awards for investment, responsible investing and leadership.
He has Governance experience at international level and boasts a whole host of Directorships past and present across a broad spectrum of activities.
Adrian is a proud Kiwi primarily of Cook Island and Irish descent and is happily married with an adult family.
Adrian is an engaging and erudite speaker who has an uncanny ability to make economic complexities easily understandable. He makes you wish he was your tutor for ECON101!
