Take a day for yourself, in a gorgeous setting surrounded by water, to tap into the power of the now and practice tools to calm the mind

About this event

Experience more ease and vitality, and reduce anxiety and stress in your day-to-day life Join me for a day, at the gorgeous and iconic Blockhouse Bay Boat Club, to explore and practise a more natural state of being. During the day we will explore mindfulness meditation, breath and qi gong movements with a particular emphasis on down-regulating the nervous system and releasing anxiety. Parts of the day will be in silence for participants, but full instruction and guidance will be offered. There will be time to sit and walk at breaks, or to rest, and to write.

During the day you will be guided in these, and more:

  • Mindfulness meditation practice
  • Breath work to relax the mind, oxygenate the body and calm anxiety
  • A qi gong sequence that you can practice at home for more day-to-day vitality, calm and ease
  • Practices to stretch and energise your body and calm your mind
  • Tips to build mindfulness into everyday life
  • Practices to improve sleep

The retreat is suitable for beginners, and for those with experience in mindfulness meditation and qi gong (chi kung).

Cancellation policy:

Full refunds (minus the Eventbrite booking fee, if applicable) are provided up to 2 weeks before any course or retreat starts

50% refunds are provided (minus the Eventbrite booking fee, if applicable), if you cancel within 2 weeks and up to two days of a course or retreat startin

No refunds are available within 48 hours of a retreat starting

You may transfer your booking to a later retreat, but if this is within 2 weeks of the event, there will be a 10% admin fee (10% of the cost of the cancelled course) incurred

Organiser the art of mindfulness - Rachel Tobin

Organiser of MINDFULNESS, BREATH & QI GONG to RELAX THE NERVOUS SYTEM AUCKLAND

Rachel Tobin is the director of the art of mindfulness. She teaches mindfulness courses, offers mindfulness training in organisations, and teaches one-day and residential mindfulness and movement retreats at various centres round NZ. She offers a mindfulness-based approach for coaching, mentioring and supervision on a 1:1 basis, and facilitates her 7-week programme for children, Now, in the Moment. Rachel is also a poet and her collection, Say it Naked, was published at the end of last year.
