Event description

Description

Not just another meditation course! This short and practical course enables you to embed the principles of Mindfulness (and related short practices) 'on the go' in your everyday life - as well as offering a gentle approach to establishing a daily habit of Mindfulness meditation, starting with just 5 minutes a day. You will be taken through a step-by-step process of establishing a daily mindfulness habit and will be provided with short guided meditations along with 'Everyday Mindfulness' techniques you can incorporate in your daily life. It will ground you in “The Basics” of Mindfulness through short, simple and practical steps to help you establish a daily Mindfulness practice. These skills are foundational for reaching your potential, maintaining a clear mind and improving your emotional regulation.

o Do you sometimes have days where your mind isn’t fully ‘on the job’, your attention is scattered, or stress and pressure is taking a toll?

o Could you achieve more of your potential if you were more focussed?

o Wish you could reduce the relentless mind-chatter of shoulds, oughts, worries, regrets etc. and chill out more and ‘smell the roses’?

If so, this course is for you!

What you get:

  • 5 weekly session of 1 ½ hours per week

  • Audio files of meditation practices, to practice at home (a new meditation each week)

  • New Everyday Mindfulness strategies to focus on each week

  • A course workbook summarising the main concepts and the Everyday Mindfulness strategies

  • Course fee includes free registration on the 28-Day ‘Mindfulness for Everyday Life’ on-line course (valued at $49). This means that you will be able to access videos covering the content you learn about on Thursday evenings, if you want to go over anything. It also means that you have access to relevant links and articles if you wish to explore any of the topics further.
