Event description

Description

Mindfulness is the psychological process of bringing one's attention to experiences occurring in the present moment, which one can develop through the practice of meditation and through other training.

You will learn how to:

  • Apply mindfulness in everyday life
  • Work to optimise life's experiences
  • Build self awareness
  • Overhaul limiting patterns
  • Develop a personalised mindset that can be directed skilfully into any endeavour, internal or external.

With the phenomenal rise in mental health issues over the recent years, we will dive into what it means to be resilient and live with mindfulness. We will use proven methods and principals that assist in cultivating positive self-regard and regain that all important inner well-being.

This event will give you the tools to live a more intentional and connected life with the ability to process and express emotions which in today’s society, men often feel pressured to repress.

Karlene draws on her personal story of triumph over fear and despair. The idea of resiliency is explored. Drawing on Karlene’s Life Coaching skills; tools for coping are introduced, including those based around NLP and neuroscience. Participants are able to take away and build on / implement knowledge gained into their daily lives.

Later, living as a renunciate monk for 3 years, Josh learned formal Mindfulness Practices. Further to this Josh has also undergone ten silent 10-day Vipassana retreats, and has been practicing meditation for 19 years.
