What is Career Fest?
Career Fest is a 3 weeks programme to help MIT and Unitec students toward job readiness, the first week will be about running online workshops to help students with CV, CL, job hunting strategies etc. and then followed by self-preparation, Career Consulting support, as well as industry engagement which include meet up with employers to have panel discussion and job fairs.

The world of work is constantly changing especially with the Covid19 empidemic. In this workshop Shailan will be sharing how in an ever changing world, the ability to adapt and self-disrupt is key to navigating it. And he will also be sharing some trends and how technology is shaping businesses/your career, and how the workplace has changed.
This workshop will be offered by Shailan Patel from MYOB.
Shailan is passionate about helping students catapult from education into meaningful employment. He graduated from the University of Bristol, England where he was born and raised, before moving to New Zealand in 2010. His career has been diverse, having worked in sales and advertising for three of NZ’s largest media companies, before joining MYOB in 2015 to manage their education channel.
