About this event

  • Event lasts 20 days 13 hours

I'll never forget the day another mum openly and vulnerably shared with me that she was struggling with snapping at her kids and then burst into tears. My eyes were wide, my mouth a little a gape. Until that moment, I genuinely thought I was the only one struggling with adapting to motherhood. Every other mother I spoke to mirrored the highlights you see on social media and I was feeling like I was failing.

In that split second, not only did I feel less alone in my own experiences, but I also felt a layer of shame a guilt drop off me. It felt like the weight of the world lifted. My shoulders relaxed a little, my heart warmed and tears pooled in my eyes.

In that moment of raw moment, she showed me the power of vulnerabilty and connection.

We weren’t made to mother alone.

And yet — here we are. Holding so much. Feeling disconnected from family or stretched thin, and most of us not feeling held ourselves.

I know you feel it, but I'm going to go ahead and say it out loud: it doesn’t have to be like this.

This is why I have created this space. For women and mothers (becasue you are both) just like you, to gather together and receive the support and gain the wisdom they deserve. To be held in warmth and love. Where all of you is welcome.

Feel deeply seen, heard and held as we gather together weekly, to share the highs and lows of our motherhood experience. It's in these moments of vulnerability, we find strength, connection, and the reassurance that you’re not alone in your experiences.

There comes a time where we need to look at the bigger picture and recognise that the bandaide approach and quick fixes are adding to the problem.

MOTHERHOOD IS ABOUT GIVING YOU THE TOOLS TO CULTIVATE A LIFESTYLE OF REGULATION - where you're no longer settling for damage control in the heat of the moment. Bu instead, taking a proactive and sustainable approach.

Over 4 weeks, you will receive bite sized teachings and opportunities for story sharing and connection.

You will learn:

  • The basics of the Nervous System - understanding your stress response and how to use your nervous system to create a home filled with more connection, laughter, joy and presence.
  • How to use neuroplasticity to access more joy and rewire your mind for results that will withstand the long haul
  • Sensory calming tools to soften your (and your childs) overstimulated nervous system when emotions run high
  • The importance of self compassion, its ability to reduce stress and some of my favouite practices

When you join Motherhood, you will:

  • Feel less alone in your motherhood experience
  • Practice vulnerability and taking up space
  • Feel connected in a supportive space and build community of like minded mothers
  • Experience empathy and co-regulation - in order to self regulate, you must first co-regulate.
  • Be supported by others who truly get it

FACILITATOR

Based in Auckland New Zealand, Emma is a trauma-informed emotional regulation coach, nervous system educator, and mother of 2, walking the path of conscious parenting - intentionally & imperfectly. She supports mothers who are ready to stop yelling, shut down less, and parent from a place of presence, safety, compassion, and self-trust.

Emma blends science and soul, weaving together nervous system education, somatic experiencing, soamtic emotional processing, subconscious reprogramming, and energetics to guide mothers through the many layers of motherhood. Her work helps women regulate their emotions, understand their triggers, and break cycles of guilt, shame, and inherited patterns and conditioning - so they can sleep easy at night knowing they're minimizing their childrens trauma imprints and being the mother they know they can be.

Her approach is deeply mother-centric, acknowledging that a regulated, resourced mother is the foundation for a secure, connected home.

Frequently asked questions

I have my kids home on Wednesdays! How can this work?

I have two little ones myself, I get it. Can you prep them up a snack , stick on a movie and snuggle up beside them on the couch with a cuppa? Sometimes we need to get creative with meeting our needs. You can turn your camera off, pop yourself on mute and be a fly on the wall.

I can't attend the calls LIVE, are they recorded?

Not a problem. The calls will be recorded and shared in the private Facebook group for you to watch and revisit when it suits you better. And if you have any questions you'd like me to speak to, you can me send them to me prior to our call.

What kind of messaging support is offered?

You will have the opportunity to chat and share in a private Whatsapp chat. This is where you can build community and support. This is for the entire 6 weeks, even during the 2 week break from live calls.
