Event description

Description

This two hour workshop is suitable for professionals who work directly with children with developmental disabilities in the classroom or community settings. Compliance is often described as a pivotal or keystone behaviour as without it other skills are difficult to teach. We will cover the main reasons why children do not follow instructions and give some tips to enhance compliance. In addition three behaviourally based strategies to increase compliance will be reviewed and practised. Yes, there will be role play!
