With the recent changes to the law around health and safety (The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and other regulations). The Act and related regulations require that workers and others are given the highest level of protection from workplace health and safety risks, so far as a reasonably practicable. This includes risks to both physical and mental health.

Our presenter, Michael Bradley, from MGB Compliance has developed a general health and safety overview, to enable you to understand and meet your responsibilities.

This two hour workshop presented by Michael Bradley includes:

  • Duty holders and responsibilities

  • Workers engagement and participation

  • Hazard identification and control (practical industry risks and control measure)

  • Protecting others

  • Personal safety equipment and signage

  • Tools and equipment

  • Hazardous substance

  • Interaction of other PCBUs (contractors)

  • Notifiable events

  • Emergencies

This training is suitable for all staff, but a must for key staff like managers and administrators. Please be at the venue 15 minutes prior to the start of the training.

Afternoon tea will be provided.

Cost: MTA Northern region has subsidised this course for you making it only $50 excl GST per member.

MTA requires 24 hour notice for a cancellation. No shows will be charged the full cost of attending the event.
