As part of Nature Week 2025, we’re once again hosting a series of events to raise awareness about climate and environmental issues. Every year, we include a solidarity action with Ecomatters, because we believe it’s time to act for a better future.
Join us to plant natives along this Waikūmete Stream tributary in Glen Eden, and be part of a transformation that will be enjoyed for generations to come.
The plants we put into the ground will stabilise the stream banks and reduce erosion, help filter pollutants before they reach the awa and flow to the sea, and provide shelter and safety for native birds, fish and critters. No experience required.
It’s also a great chance to meet others and share a moment of community spirit.
🔥 We’ll wrap up with a BBQ lunch to reward everyone’s efforts!
👟 What to wear: long pants, long sleeves, and sturdy shoes (it might be slippery!).
