Here we have 3 speakers from a variety of construction backgrounds and expertise in their fields:
- Trina Lincoln (Kainga Ora Homes & Communities)
Trina is the Associate General Counsel for construction related matters within Housing New Zealand. She leads a team providing legal support and strategic advice across Kainga Ora Homes and Communities including the new build programme, maintenance, retrofit, procurement and innovation.
- Jennifer Whittle (NZ Green Building Council)
As Director in NZGBC, Jennifer is responsible for the team supporting members to drive change through advocacy and regulation, media relations, and servicing public interest in sustainability through events and education.
Jennifer started professional life as a chartered accountant in Australia, she spent ten years in the UK and Europe. Jennifer worked across financial services, construction and sustainable urban development projects. At Sydney Water, Jennifer led the Brand and External Communications Team on the award winning drought and water efficiency campaign supporting community engagement on key water and wastewater projects.
- Kristy Harrison (Stantec)
Principal Environmental specialist with extensive experience in infrastructure, international development and green finance across the Asia Pacific region. Highly skilled in environmental and social impact assessment, due diligence, terrestrial and aquatic ecology, biodiversity, water resources, climate resilience and stakeholder engagement. This includes working to international lenders' standards such as the ADB, IFC, EBRD and World Bank.
Kristy is experienced in energy (hydro, wind, gas, transmission), transport (road, rail, sea, air), water, wastewater, solid waste, mining, oil and gas, agriculture, manufacturing, banking and finance.

- Matthew Cutler-Welsh (NZ Green Building Council)
Matthew is the Business development manager at the NZGBC working with Homestar and HomeFit. Matthew’s mission is to inspire people to make a better place to live. An experienced presenter, facilitator and podcaster, Matthew has interviewed over 200 architects, builders and industry experts from around the World on the Home Style Green podcast. He is also the co-host of the Passive House Podcast.
