About this event

Natural Environment Defence Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to community services. This Eco Life project aims to support your health and wellbeing so you can be at your best at work and in life.

Workshop1: 8-Weeks Mindfulness Meditation

A guided, practical, and enjoyable Mindfulness Meditation with Mindfulness Aotearoa to increase your happiness quotient with meditation to release stress and anxiety. Delivered in a group setting over 8-weeks by an expert teacher, this evidence-based mindfulness training teaches you tools and techniques that over time may lead to you noticing:

Deep focus and concentration when you want it

A reduction in emotional flare-ups, feeling more resilient and calmer

More able to handle challenges and stresses and deal with difficulties

improved sleep and a greater sense of wellbeing

More effective listening and communication, more creativity in how you approach problems, more connection to others and the world around you.

Workshop Time: 21st September- 9th November 2022 Wednesdays 6.30pm – 8.30 pm.

Workshop 2: Once Botanical Monoprint Workshop

This workshop will encourage participants to engage with ecological art through print making activities. Creativity & exploration of native plants, touching and

sensing nature, bring nature to your home.

 A Kaipātiki botanical expert will guide us through the bush and identify important native plants.

 Participants will help to gather interesting plant materials to turn into botanical prints back at a local Community room in a Monoprinting workshop with ecological artist, Laura Donkers.

 All materials and guidance will be provided.

Workshop Time: 9th September Friday 9.00am -12.00pm.
