Neptuno
Event Information
About this Event
In a fast paced, busy, commercial world where finding spaces to transcend “daily life” in a tasteful way through experiential events - or having a safe space to celebrate life in a positive way without stigma and guilt are rare. There are limited consistent events where DJ and visual artists can collaborate to create next-level shows together combining art and music.
Neptuno is that space.
In the second edition we find ourselves at Black Barn Bistro. Set in the outdoor limestone courtyard with a pergola full of grape vines overhead, the setting emanates strong Balearic summer energy, a nod to one of the meccas of the underground scene.
Jesper Tjårnfors [Rationalism Records/BLDOM/Radio cult] , Neptuno's lead DJ, producer and musical director invites you on a journey to experience Neptuno's warm, underground, minimal house music sound. He has curated our line up with his friends & DJ's Misa, Harry Richie & Neptuno co-founder, Henri George who will represent our unique sound in their own way. This line up represents a group of artists leading the way in the contemporary House Music scene in Aotearoa.
Edition #2 also features several visual artists.
Dali Susanto will bring his unique painting style with body painting and live art. Dali was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, brought up surrounded by artists. His family owned batik galleries and taught tourists and students the skills in batik work. He was named by his parents after Salvador Dali in hope that he would follow along the same footsteps and become an artist. Dali has developed a distinctive style using a series of motifs and patterns which he incorporates into his work which are often based on themes of love and relationships.
Fish Aberadi, one of Hawke's Bays most creative carpenters, who has been involved with the recent Walk of Wonders light and Fire festival and the Phoenix rising public installation for the Hastings District Council.
