An exploration of the current and projected use of AI for NZ and the future of work, presented by Quanton Keynote Prof. James Maclaurin.
About this event
An exploration of the current and projected use of ‘AI’ in N ew Zealand , strategies to govern AI in the future, large scale adoption scenarios and what it means for the future of work and commerce.
The enhancement of commerce, government and everyday life is the promise of ‘AI’ and smart technologies. And the looming threat often touted is the chance of being left behind by the ‘AI revolution’.
In this exclusive presentation with Otago University’s Professor James Maclaurin, we explore New Zealand’s world leading use of predictive analytics and risk modelling in the provisioning of government services, and the projected use of algorithms by the public sector in the future.
James’s presentation will address the hard questions exploring the regulatory and governance strategies required for Artificial Intelligence, large scale adoption scenarios and the changing nature of work for New Zealanders.
We round the evening off with a panel discussion by leading representatives from New Zealand’s technology and enterprise sector.
