Join us for a transformative three-day wānanga dedicated to the art of mau rākau. This symposium gathers passionate Te Whare Tu Taua practitioners and learners of Aotearoa, creating a unique space to celebrate and deepen our understanding of Ngā Kawa a Tū, Ngā Mahi ā Tū, Te Reo ā Tū.
Attendees will have the opportunity to uphold tikanga, connect with like-minded individuals, and be inspired to achieve excellence in their mau rākau journey.

Duration: This is a three-day symposium, with the option to attend a single day
Ticket Options: Choose between a full three-day pass or a single-day pass to fit your schedule.
Kai Included: Delicious kai will be provided, ensuring everyone is well-nourished throughout the event.
There will be a mass powhiri on Monday 1 Decemeber to welcome all rohe to Te Arawa - followed by a jam-packed three day wānanga lead by tohunga / practitioners in the art of Mau Rākau.
Health and Safety Notice
Some sessions within Te Reo a Tū are delivered in a mau rākau physical training format, while others are wānanga-based. Participation in the physical training sessions is optional.
By choosing to take part in these sessions, attendees acknowledge they are of normal, everyday fitness and accept responsibility for their own wellbeing. Participants are expected to bring their own rākau, wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and ensure they are prepared for both indoor and outdoor activity.
