Nau mai, haere mai ki tēnei huihuinga kawenga kōrero e hāngai ana ki ā mātou kaupapa a Ngā Pūmanawa e Waru.
As a follow on from our 'Rotorua A Great Place To Learn' - Education Conference in March, we would like to invite you to join us in an evening where we will be discussing the following:
The view is emerging in education circles of the need to ensure that all of our learners are well prepared to seize the opportunities that lie ahead of them in the 21st Century. Also increasingly apparent is the belief that our current education system is not fit for purpose and needs to be changed.
One such commentator on these important topics is Frances Valintine. Frances has agreed to come to Rotorua to present her views on why the education sector needs to change.
Ngā Pūmanawa e Waru agrees with the call for change and is championing the establishment of Future Focused Learning environments in all of our Early Childhood Centres, Kōhanga Reo, Schools and Kura. Sue Winters, NPeW Director of Learning will speak about “Why the establishment of Future Focused Learning environments” is important for our Rotorua community.
Finally Mr Bill Kermode, CEO - NEXT Foundation will conclude by explaining the philosophy and role of the NEXT Foundation and why it is supporting Ngā Pūmanawa e Waru and The Mind Lab.
