This one-day wānanga is for educators and leaders committed to equity and excellence for ākonga Māori. Grounded in the Niho Taniwha framework (Dr Melanie Riwai-Couch) and anchored in Te Tiriti o Waitangi partnership, it combines reflection, collaboration, and practical tools to strengthen teaching and assessment.
You’ll engage in the Niho Taniwha inquiry process — Whai, Ako, Mau, Tipu — moving from reflection to action, with strategies to address bias, enhance assessment practice, and improve outcomes for all learners.
