Mana Taurite, Mana Ako | Equity and Excellence (11 November) is a new one-day workshop designed for kaiako and leaders ready to deepen their impact. You’ll explore how to raise achievement and reduce disparity by amplifying student voice, challenging deficit thinking, and embedding culturally responsive assessment and teaching practice.
Through the inquiry process — Whai, Ako, Mau, Tipu — you’ll critically reflect, challenge bias, and apply strategies that uplift equity and excellence. Walk away with frameworks, resources, and actions to drive meaningful change for your learners and community.
If you’re new to the Niho Taniwha kaupapa, you can also register for the optional extra day : an introduction to Niho Taniwha held the day before (10 November). This is ideal for those starting out or wanting a solid foundation before attending the new workshop.
