Description

This half-day workshop will give participants methods, context, tools and experience with open participatory systems, based on the lived experience of members of the non-hierarchical networks Enspiral and OuiShare.

Enspiral members Kate Beecroft and Susan Basterfield will be joined by OuiShare members Francesca Pick and Maud Richet to introduce practices and processes of how their organizations make agreements and decisions together in an open, participatory and collaborative way.

You will explore experiments around leadership, governance, and collaborative financing as well as the crucial cultural practices embedded in Enspiral and OuiShare that enable a high level of experimentation.

You will walk away with skills that you can apply in your own organizations and contexts. Participants will have the opportunity to work on their own organisational design questions with these experienced designers and facilitators.

The workshop is the last of a series of open workshops that Enspiral has held all over Europe this Fall and is a collaboration between Enspiral and OuiShare.

Enspiral is a global network of entrepreneurs and startups working on stuff that matters. Its ventures and freelancers contribute income back to the core foundation and all decisions are made in an open and participatory way. There are no bosses and people come before process. A cooperative in structure, Enspiral has quickly become one of the world's pioneers when it comes to finding new ways to organise work.

OuiShare is an international collective that connects people and accelerates projects for systemic change. A non-profit founded in January 2012 in Paris, OuiShare experiments with social models based on collaboration, openness and fairness through its network of “Connectors” in its main hubs Paris, Barcelona, London, Munich, Montreal and Rio. OuiShare’s chief activities consist in research & knowledge production, event organization and project acceleration.
